Dr Shaikh performs a variety of tests to look at a variety of nerve and muscle disorders, he takes time to describe what the test entails and explains his findings in easy to understand language.

Nerve conduction studies (NCS) and electromyography (EMG) look at the function of peripheral nerve and muscles. Causes of numbness, muscle weakness, atrophy and twitching can be investigated.

He receives referrals from a variety of Clinicians / Solicitors and Agencies. Patients come from Edinburgh, across the Central Belt and Scotland generally. Some patients come from further afield (mainly from the North of England).
